“Fela had over 100 concubines”- Son of legendary artiste, Seun Kuti reveals

Seun Kuti, the son of legendary Nigerian artiste, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti has disclosed that his father had more than 100 concubines in his lifetime.

According to Seun Kuti, the world knew nothing about the numerous women his father kept in his convenience.

He disclosed this on the latest episode of the ‘Bahd & Boujee’ Podcast co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe.

“People only know of Fela’s 27 wives, they don’t know of his over 100 girlfriends that lived with us in the house,” he remarked.

Recall that Seun Kuti recently revealed that his late father, Fela, married 27 women on the same day in a bid to preserve their honour and dignity as the media was already tagging his female dancers and band members living with him as “prostitutes”.

Fela got married to 27 women in one day back in 1978 in what was seen as a very daring move.
