The Year I Turned 21: Ayra Starr announces release date for sophomore album

The Year I Turned 21 will be title of singer-songwriter, Ayra Starr’s sophomore album.

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter on her official Twitter platform announced that the album will debut on Friday, May 31.

The Grammy nominee has been promoting her sophomore album across the globe for several months. Some of the notable tracks off the album include the following, “Commas”, “Bad Vibes” featuring Seyi Vibez.

Equally, the music project will feature superstars such as the aforementioned Seyi Vibez, Asake, America’s Giveon and Coco Jones, and Brazil’s Anitta, amongst others.

Starr is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, who began a fashion career at the age of 16 with Quove Model Management before deciding to pursue a career in music.

In 2021, she released her eponymous EP before debuting 19 & Dangerous later that year. She has continued to ascend the ladder of prominence in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
