Spain’s Rodri claims Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament

Spain and Manchester City midfielder Rodri has been named the UEFA Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament.

Despite being forced off at half-time in Spain’s 2-1 victory over England in the final, Rodri’s performances throughout the tournament were instrumental in securing La Roja‘s fourth European Championship title.

“It’s unbelievable, this is a dream and now we are the best national team in the Euros, it is crazy,” Rodri told ITV after the match.

“This is about how humble we have been all these years to keep working and never lose the faith. In this tournament, we beat four World Cup champions. How tough was it? Just unbelievable.”
