Manchester United has confirmed that 18-year-old sensational defender Leny Yoro has joined the club, subject to registration.
The French defender signed a contract until June 2029, with the option to extend for a further year.
At his young age, Yoro has already played 60 first-team games for French Ligue 1 side Lille OSC. He was named in the Ligue 1 team of the season last campaign having helped Lille finish fourth in the league.

On joining United, Leny Yoro said: āSigning for a club with the stature and ambition of Manchester United so early in my career is an incredible honour.
Yoro made his professional bow for Lille in May 2022, going on to make 46 Ligue 1 appearances for the club.
On his part, Manchester United’s sporting director Dan Ashworth said: āLeny is one of the most exciting young defenders in world football; he possesses every attribute needed to develop into a top-class centre-back.ā
Meanwhile, Lille president Olivier Letang stated how proud he was of Yoro.
āWeāre always sad when a boy leaves the club,ā Letang told Lille’s official website.
āBut weāre also happy and proud when these boys, who arrived young, become men and top-level footballers.ā
