Microsoft Designer is now better

Currently, Microsoft has planned more enhancements to new and dynamic features for Microsoft Designer, thus making it work smarter, and enhancing compatibility with other programs within the Microsoft-developed suite.

As for Microsoft, Subscribers of Copilot Pro can design cool images and graphics in Word and PowerPoint with the assistance of Microsoft Designer. All that is needed is a click of the Copilot icon and a few descriptive words for the desired creation and Copilot will take it from there. Microsoft has also said that Word and Designer are to introduce an automatic banner generation based on your document but the particular date is still unknown.

Microsoft has also added templates for AI prompts, that are designed to provide ideas, styles and descriptions for you to modify to suit your purpose to help you when a blank canvas can sometimes mentally block you. As Microsoft stated, “If you can describe it, you can design it.” Thus, afterwards, you can easily share the template you have developed with other stakeholders, promoting collaboration and idea generation.

Technically, Windows Insiders, which is a closed community of the Musical Windows OS, will be able to test the new integration between Microsoft Photos and Microsoft Designer where the users can remove the objects and backgrounds of any photo and apply a host of other editing features like auto crop, filters, markup, as well as adding text, all without having to exit the Photos program.

All the options are available for users with a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription; however, you can use the simplified version of the program on the website or via the app for iOS/Android for free.

That said, some features will require the Copilot Pro subscription for you to fully utilize the new AI function. Designer currently has 15 daily free boosts that can be used either in the designer itself or in the 365 integration and these are used up when you use the Copilot’s prompt to create your artistic content. Having a Copilot Pro subscription entails a benefit where one is privileged to 100 boosts each day.

Microsoft remarked it “will be bringing more features in the future” to Designer, hinting at a background replacer.
