Education: ASUU gives FG 21-days ultimatum before embarking on nationwide strike
The federal government has been notified by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) that a nationwide strike will begin within the next twenty-one days.The union sent a letter to the Federal Ministries of Labor and Employment and Education in Abuja announcing the 21-day strike.
The country’s tertiary institutions’ academic calendar was in disarray following the eight-month-long ASUU strike that occurred during President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Students had mixed emotions when they heard this news.
