Sneakers 101: How to take care of your sneakers

Sneakers! Some say fashion is truly incomplete with them. How could you possibly argue this when I consider it to be true as a lover of sneakers? We have witnessed how this fashion asset has evolved through the years, cutting through almost every fashion law there is, its evolution in how it is being manufactured and produced which have led to the quick rise of notable brands.

A few among these brands are: Nike, Adidas, New balance, Puma, Yeezy and a ton of others. Some clothing brands also have had some of their sneakers collections released over the years. These include: Balenciaga, Tommy Hillfiger, Gucci, Louis Vuitton. It is no doubt that sneakers are more dominant in the shoe market in this generation.They have also been incorporated into formal dresses these days. There is surely a pair of sneakers that suit your outfit.

1.Top on the list is to clean not wash

Cleaning your sneakers helps longing their lifespan if at all there is a tough stain then use a soft brush but make sure to always clean with a damp towel rather than wash.

2. Store properly

Storing them in a clean, dry, dustless environment would be of great benefit. Keep them away from heat or stuffy rooms and spaces.

3.Remove creases as soon as they appear

A good way to get rid of creases is to place a damp towel (preferably white) on the creased area, place a low heat iron and iron till smooth.

4. Love your sneakers for they are embodiment of resilience

To be able to properly care for your sneakers, you need to love them. Sneakers are the most durable type of shoes you can bank on. Its classiness and comfiness is one that cannot be undermined. See your sneakers as your ride or die.

5. Do not be a boring sneaker lover

Sneakers are not always meant to be monochromatic. Play with colours, yes! Give your favourite white sneakers to a graphic art designer to work some magic on it. This will help you break the monotony in your style.
