Apple Intelligence features are set to launch on October 28

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman noted that Apple Intelligence will begin on October 28. Apple stated last month that iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1 — which will implement some of the first Apple Intelligence features on iPhone 16 and other Apple equipment — would be released in October, but that date was not a specific launch date. The initial suite of Apple Intelligence features are the Writing Tools, comprising of a text editor and a summarization tool When launched, it will cover smart audio recording and transcription for Mail, Notes, and Pages, among others.

We’ll also probably have the new Memories in Photos, which is intended to be an easy-to-use editor for creating films using images from the gallery, and Clean Up, which can eliminate subjects from the background of photos. Other built-in Apple Intelligence novelties such as ChatGPT and Genmoji are planned to be shipped with later releases of iOS 18, which are to be released at the end of this year and early 2025.
