The former Manchester City player has also scored two goals since his debut for the national team. One of those includes a great strike against Spain during the EURO 2024 final in Berlin.

During the Euros, Palmer played a total of 145 minutes across seven games. Prior to his goal off the bench in the final, he had assisted Ollie Watkins’ winner in the semi-final.

Cole Palmer was instrumental for both England and Chelsea

Palmer’s breakthrough season for England came alongside an impressive debut campaign for Chelsea. Following his win, which was announced on Tuesday, he becomes the first Chelsea player to win the award since former left-back Ashley Cole did in 2010.
