Ghana dominated possession and created several chances to score but failed to find a breakthrough. The Sudanese stood firm throughout, resisting all advances aimed at breaking their resolve.

West Ham’s star player Mohamed Kudus and Athletic Bilbao hero Iñaki Williams came closest to scoring. However, Sudan’s defence, marshalled by goalkeeper Mohamed Al Mustafa, foiled the threats.

The West Africans occupy third position in Group F with just two points from three games. Sudan, on the other hand, are second with a total of four points.

Ghana’s bad run of form is a big worry for the fans and Black Stars coach Otto Addo will have to do something fast to address the unpleasant situation.

Angola leads the group with six points from two matches, while Niger Republic is bottom with one point. Angola and Niger will face on Friday (20:00 GMT+1/WAT).
