Nigeria’s head coach Justine Madugu has announced a 25-player squad, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and star goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, for two friendly matches against Algeriaās national team in Lagos.
The fixtures, taking place on Saturday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 29, will be hosted at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. This marks the Super Falconsā return to home soil for the first time since the Aisha Buhari Invitational in 2021.
It is also the Super Falcons’ first gathering since their Olympic qualifiers in France and the departure of former head coach Randy Waldrum. Maduguās squad is a mixture of homegrown talents with experienced internationals.
The squad includes Spain-based forwards Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide as well as Galatasaray defender Oluwatosin Demehin. Standout players from the team that recently competed at the FIFA U20 Womenās World Cup in Colombia, also received call-ups.

Algeriaās team is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday, as both matches have been approved by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF). FIFA match officials from Benin Republic will oversee the games.
