The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have successfully defended their WAFU B U20 title after beating rivals Ghana 2-1 in the final on Wednesday night.
Aliyu Zubair’s tutored side, who won the last edition, had suffered defeat in the opening game after losing 1-0 to Burkina Faso.
The Nigerians responded with an important 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast in their second match. They went on to defeat Niger Republic 3-1 in the semi-final to set up a final date with Ghana in Lome.

Beyond Limits attacker Kparobo Arierhi netted both goals as Nigeria sealed a final win against the Black Satellites.
By reaching the final, Nigeria qualified for the next edition of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Championship.
