Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has appointed Justice Lekan Ogunmoye as the Acting Chief Judge of the state.
Yinka Oyebode, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, disclosed the appointment in a statement on Tuesday.
NRTC gathered that the state Chief Judge, Justice John Adeyeye died on Monday at the age of 64. Late Justice Adeyeye was appointed on 11 October 2021.
Oyebode confirmed that Justice Ogunmoye’s appointment was made in accordance with the powers vested in the Governor under Section 271 (4) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

Born on November 6, 1963, Justice Ogunmoye was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987 and was appointed as a judge on April 1, 2010.
