Super Eagles Stars Abroad Display Admirable Skill

This feature once again reviews recent performances of Nigerian internationals – Super Eagles stars abroad.

As of the time of this review, since some leagues such as the Eredivise were yet to resume after the festive period, and so a number of these players have not yet to feature for their respective clubs.

Victor Osimehn also tested positive for Covid-19, further delaying his return to action.

Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal)

Chukwueze came off the bench to assist Gerard Moreno for Villarealā€™s second goal in their 2-1 victory over Levante last Saturday.

Kevin Akpoguma (Hoffenheim)

Akpoguma featured for Hoffenheim for just 17 minutes in his sideā€™s defeat to Freiburg last Saturday.

The Nigerian started in the right-back position, a role heā€™s usually deployed to play for the Nigerian national team. He made a tactical foul to stop a counter-attack which saw him receive a yellow card and got him injured. He was therefore substituted immediately.

The club confirms that the 25 year old will be sidelined for a few weeks to recover from his injury.

Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto)

Sanusi began the year with yet another impressive performance as he helped his side in their 3-0 victory over Moreirense on Sunday.
