Democracy In Nigeria: Here is what David Adeleke has to say about it

Nigeria gained its independence in 1960. Since then, citizens have complained about the country’s state.

Airing his opinion about the country, Davido mentioned that the country isn’t practising democracy.

He stated this while featuring in a recent episode of The Morning Hustle podcast.

Davido explained that he congratulated Donald Trump after his electoral victory despite voting for his opponent, Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party because he believes in American democracy.

ā€œI congratulated Donald Trump. Thatā€™s the president! What are you talking about? If I were running against him, I would still have congratulated him.

ā€œWhat I like about America is that thereā€™s true democracy. Where I come from [Nigeria], itā€™s not so.

ā€œTo be honest, I voted for Kamala Harris because I wanted to see the first female president in my generation. That would have been cool.ā€
