ā€œWe are here today in pursuit of a better society as we swear in members of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, members of the State Local Governments Commission, members of the State Sports Commission and permanent Secretaries.

ā€œIt is obvious that my administration is set to make a huge difference in governance which is my campaign promise to the good people of Edo State. We want to take up this challenge very responsibly because things can not remain the way they are.

ā€œMy administration is determined to raise the bar for good governance, infrastructural development and social services for our citizens. As for the Edo State Internal Revenue Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission and Sports Commission, we will support you with everything you need to succeed.

ā€œTo our new permanent secretaries, we will assist you in building a public service that will be responsive to innovation as we would not allow consultants to do your new jobs. We will continue to support you. As you resume a new duty, we will constantly hold you accountable when and where necessary, especially when translating our programme and policies into reality.ā€

In his response, the Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, Oladele Bankole-Balogun, expressed gratitude to the governor for entrusting the newly sworn-in officials with their roles.

He assured the governor of their commitment to collaboration in ensuring the success of the Okpebholo administration.

Damian Lawani now serves as the Chairman of the Local Government Services Commission, while Amadin Desmond Enabulele has been appointed Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission.

Additionally, Paul Ehienwerio was sworn in as a permanent secretary in the Edo State Civil Service, among others.
