Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reiterated his administration’s dedication to the welfare of civil servants and retirees, emphasising the importance of prompt payment of salaries, pensions, and gratuities.
Speaking at a send-off ceremony for the outgoing Head of Service (HOS) and retired Permanent Secretaries, held at the Banquet Hall opposite the Government House, the governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Abdulkadri Mahe, described civil servants as the backbone of successful governance.
Governor AbdulRazaq praised the outgoing HOS, Susan Dupe Oluwole, for her significant contributions to the state civil service.
He also commended the retired Permanent Secretaries for their dedication and urged them to remain productive and prioritise their health in retirement.
Highlighting the achievements of the retirees, the Chief of Staff noted their pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of government activities and the implementation of policies.

The Acting Head of Service, Mallam Muhammad Ibrahim, acknowledged the governorās visionary leadership and thanked the retirees for their invaluable service to the state.
Similarly, Mrs Oluwole, represented by Elder David Adeshina, encouraged active civil servants to remain focused and committed to their duties.
However, the Chairman of the Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries, Ayo Fagbemi, expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRazaq for supporting retirees through regular pension payments and timely approval of gratuities.
Gesinde Amosa Adedeji, a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, lauded the governor for his good governance and described the send-off as a unique gesture of appreciation.
