He also emphasised the government’s dedication to creating seamless investment opportunities in the mining sector and boosting the stateā€™s internally generated revenue.

To achieve this, the state government has registered five Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and is awaiting licenses, which are expected to be granted by the first quarter of the year.

Abolore further revealed that measures to curb illegal mining activities in the state are in full swing.

“We have established and consolidated robust collaborations with security agencies at various levels to address security challenges at mining sites across Kwara State. Discussions with the heads of these agencies have yielded commitments to provide support whenever necessary,” Abolore stated.

The Commissioner also expressed gratitude to Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq for his administrationā€™s unwavering support in positioning Kwara State at the national forefront of the solid minerals sector.

He lauded the governorā€™s efforts to secure grants and loans aimed at fostering growth in the industry.

In her remarks, the Commissioner for Communications, Bola Olujoku, commended Governor AbdulRazaqā€™s administration for its significant achievements across all sectors.

She described the ongoing inter-ministerial press briefing as an avenue to highlight the administrationā€™s visionary and lasting legacies.

ā€œThe governorā€™s commitment to the development of Kwara State is both notable and worthy of emulation,ā€ Olujoku added.
