Female Undergraduate Fashion: How to spend less on looking good

Looking good can be very expensive, tell me about it. However, you can look good with a friendly budget. You just have to know the plugs with quality for cheap prices. As a female undergraduate, I have found a way to navigate the fashion market with a few thousand and still look good. In this article, I recommend fashion products you can buy on a very friendly budget. These products are not only budget-friendly but also products that will last.

Leather tote bags

Instead of going for the regular cloth tote bag, purchase the leather tote bag. Cloth tote bags are good but are not as durable as leather tote bags. Instead of constantly buying cloth tote bags that are durable to tear now and then, just get a leather tote bag that will last long. Leather tote bags cost from N5,000 to N7,000. They are much more durable and can last you two sessions at least. 

Leather fashion slippers

Luckily for me, I have a shoemaker who makes fashion slippers at an average cost of N4,500. These slippers are quite durable for students to wear around. If you are a student whose course requires formal wear and shoes every time, then this recommendation might not be for you.

Dresses, tops, and jeans

At this stage, I am not going to recommend new dresses but thrift wear. I buy from a reliable plug, dresses for N1,500-N1,700, tops for N500-800, jeans for N2,500. With a budget of N10,000, you can get a sizable number of clothes for yourself. However, this grade of clothes is the lowest so you have to be picky and vigilant with your choice.

Perfume oils

Do not blame me, my search for cheap things is endless. Perfume oils are budget-friendly and their bottling prevents you from wastage. Get a plug that sells an intense scent and is undiluted. For the wholesale price, you get six bottles for N2,400. That should last you for a month or so.

You have to be intentional about your spending. Research about vendors in your school vicinity that offer good prices for these products. Get to know popular markets that sell cheap clothes. For example, if your school is the University of Ibadan, Dugbe is your go-to market for clothes, shoes, and all.
