Akor Adams great acquisition for the Spaniards
Adams truly shone at Lillestrøm. In his first season, he scored 11 goals in 33 games and debuted in European competitions. His UEFA Conference League qualifier appearance against Finland’s SJK Seinajoki marked another milestone in his career.
The 2023 season saw Adams rise to even greater heights. Demonstrating his clinical finishing, he scored 17 goals in just 17 games. This remarkable feat led him to briefly top the European Golden Shoe standings, attracting Montpellier’s interest. By the summer, he accepted their offer and made the switch to Ligue 1.
On the international stage, Adams also left his mark early. He represented Nigeria’s Under-20 team, featuring twice at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Poland.
With Adams’ proven goal-scoring record and versatility, Montpellier fans have every reason to anticipate a bright future for their new signing.
