Teenager Anu Adeleke, who claims to be singer Davido’s daughter, has appealed to the artist to take a DNA test to confirm her paternity.
Anu posted the appeal on Instagram, where she wrote a letter describing years of mental anguish caused by bullying in school. She said classmates mocked her whenever she told them her father was David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido. Despite the ridicule, she excelled academically, topped her class, and served as class prefect.
The teenager explained that she wants to establish her identity as she transitions into adulthood. “This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do,” she wrote.

Her paternity dispute has lingered for years after her mother, Ayotomide Labinjo, claimed she had a child for the singer. A previous DNA test reportedly returned negative, but Anu’s mother alleged that Davido influenced the outcome. The singer’s lawyer later intervened to clarify the situation.
Anu’s latest appeal has reignited public interest in the controversy, as she insists that a DNA test remains the only way to resolve the matter.
