The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has confirmed that the name of former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal as the party’s official Vice-Presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
Dickson disclosed this in a statement issued following a strategic meeting and a detailed brief from the vice-presidential candidate.

According to the NDC national leader, the high-level meeting provided an opportunity to review the party’s ongoing political strategy, particularly regarding recent mobilisation efforts in the country’s northern region.
“I have just visited and held discussions with our Vice Presidential candidate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, CON,” Dickson stated.

“I was briefed on very positive developments arising from his engagements and consultations in the North West.”
In addition to the positive feedback from regional consultations, the former Bayelsa State Governor revealed that Kwankwaso has finalised all mandatory documentation required for the electoral contest.
“He informed me that he has concluded his deposition. We also confirmed that his name has been successfully uploaded on the INEC portal as the Vice Presidential candidate of our great party for the 2027 presidential election,” Dickson added.
Expressing absolute confidence in the party’s trajectory and leadership structure ahead of the general elections, the national leader rallied party faithful to remain focused on their ultimate objectives.

“We remain on course and steadfast in our commitment to the mission ahead. Long live the NDC. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Dickson said.
