Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has spoken publicly about the circumstances surrounding his rift with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, the former P-Square star gave his account of the long-running dispute and challenged anyone, including his brother, to present evidence disputing his claims.
Captioning the video, Peter wrote, “I’ve watched lies travel farther than the truth. Today, I’m finally giving the truth a voice.”
The singer said he decided to address the issue because many people have continued to speculate about the breakdown of their relationship without knowing what transpired.

According to him, he had previously apologised on the same platform where the post that triggered the controversy was originally shared.
“I am going to speak my truth Today. I challenge anybody, including my twin brother. Anybody can provide a video,” Peter said.

He added, “I hear a lot of people saying, ‘What exactly happened to this guy?’ because most of you don’t even know what happened to us. But Today, I am going to say it.”
The dispute between the twin brothers became public after years of disagreements over their music career, management, finances and creative direction.
Their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, was also reported to have been involved in some of the issues that contributed to the fallout.
Peter and Paul, who rose to fame as the award-winning music duo P-Square, officially split in 2017 after more than a decade together. Since then, both artistes have pursued solo careers, with Paul performing as Rudeboy and Peter as Mr P.
