The Ekiti State Beer, Wine, Food, and Drink Sellers Association has endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term.

They cited his commitment to creating a business-friendly environment and fostering economic growth across the state.

Members of the association staged a solidarity walk to the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti, where they declared their support for the governor’s re-election bid ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

They praised Oyebanji for his consistent efforts in promoting micro and small businesses, particularly within the beverage sector.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the association’s president, Williams Ogundare, highlighted the administration’s impact on the ease of doing business in Ekiti.

He commended the governor for introducing policies that supported small and medium enterprises, improved infrastructure, patronised local businesses, and streamlined tax processes to spur growth.

“These achievements have positively transformed both the state and our industry. Supporting Oyebanji for a second term will allow him to consolidate on these gains and ensure continued progress,” Ogundare said.

Responding on behalf of the governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Habibat Adubiaro, expressed appreciation for the endorsement.

She described the association’s support as a testament to the positive effects of the Oyebanji-led administration’s policies on the state’s business landscape.

Adubiaro reaffirmed the government’s dedication to tackling the challenges faced by business owners, particularly in the food and beverage sector.

She assured members that the Governor remained focused on enhancing the prosperity of all economic sectors in the state.

She added that the endorsement served as a renewed call for the Governor to continue working diligently for Ekiti’s development.

“A second term would not only consolidate existing achievements but also introduce new strategies to create opportunities and improve the livelihoods of all Ekiti residents,” she said.
