Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson as the Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement by Umar Musa Ikhilor, the Secretary to the Edo State Government.
Mercy Johnson, also known as Mercy Johnson-Okojie, is a prominent Nigerian actress and producer with nearly twenty years in the film industry.
She has appeared in over 200 films and earned several awards, including recognition from the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Her career has made her one of the most respected figures in Nollywood.
Apart from her work in entertainment, Johnson is known for her humanitarian efforts.
