Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has raised concerns about alleged age falsification within the country’s music scene.
During a recent livestream conversation with streamer Enzo, the rapper claimed that several artists deliberately lower their official age to improve their chances of securing record deals and brand partnerships.
According to him, the trend is largely driven by industry preferences, as some investors are reluctant to back older talents, choosing instead to focus on younger acts they believe have longer commercial potential.

“I am 32 and I don’t bother myself for getting things right at this age. A lot of artists reduce their age because of record labels and partnership deals. You know a lot of investors in the music industry wouldn’t want to invest in older artists,” he expressed.
