The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, (SAN), has appointed His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi of Akure as the Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas.
This was contained in a press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Richard Olatunde.
The appointment of Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi was confirmed after the cessation of the two-year single tenure of the immediate past Chairman of the council, Oba (Dr.) Fredrick Eniolorunda Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo in ilaje local government, who was appointed on the 13th of September 2019.
In the statement, Akeredolu appreciated the council under the leadership of the former Chairman, whom the Governor described as someone who had done excellently well and gave all the necessary support to ensure that the good people of Ondo State enjoyed good governance.
The Governor, however, urged the new chairman to enhance the good record of his predecessor by working in peace and harmony with other Obas and the government in ensuring the growth and development of the Sunshine State.

Short Brief of The New Chairman
Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, is a Nigerian monarch who was born on December 28, 1956, in the Akure settlement of Ayede-Ogbese, to the Baale, the Player of Ayede-Ogbese in Ondo state.
His kingship as the Deji of Akure began in 2015, when he ascended the throne as the Odundun II after succeeding the late Oba Adebiyi Adegboye Adesida.
He is the 47th and current traditional ruler of the Akure Kingdom, a traditional state in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
He started his elementary education at St. Patrick School, Aponmu Akure, before proceeding to Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure, where he obtained his secondary school certificate (SSCE).
He graduated as an Architect from Florida State University in Miami, Florida, USA. Oba Aladetoyinbo also has a Master’s degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, also in the USA.
He is a distinguished member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and one of the founding members of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
The King had given public lectures in notable higher institutions, in places likes Adekunle Ajasin University, Obafemi Awolowo University, and others.
