The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Prof. Olugbenga Ige, has yet again attained another remarkable feat after he was conferred with the Pillar of Education Award for the year 2020 in Ondo State.
The Ondo varsity Vice Chancellor was honoured with the prestigious award at the annual Ondo State Outstanding Leadership Award Platform organized by the Hero Magazine International, alongside other distinguished personalities at the event held at the Dome International Event Centre, Akure.
The convener and Publisher of The Hero Magazine, Dr Sunday Akinbiola, disclosed that all the awardees were found worthy having distinguished themselves in their respective careers.

He said in his statement that:
“All our awardees for this 14th edition of the award event were meritoriously selected. They are individuals who have made and still making positive impacts on their immediate and extended environments.
“And with this honour done on them, they have become ambassadors of Ondo State.”
Prof. Ige appreciated the organizers for recognizing his efforts and passion in the promotion of education, not only within Ondo State, but also across Nigeria.
He also assured that he would continue to lead AAUA in the right direction of setting the pace for others.
