Google has revamped its Find My Device app, introducing a new feature that enables users to track not just devices but also people.

This update brings the app in line with Apple’s Find My app by consolidating device and personal location tracking into one platform.

New features of Android’s Find My App and how they work

The Find My Device app now has two main tabs:

Devices Tab: Shows all connected and trackable devices.

People Tab: Displays shared locations from friends and family.

Under the People Tab, there are two sections:”Sharing with you” – Shows the live locations of people who have shared their whereabouts.

“You’re sharing with” – Displays individuals with whom you have shared your location.

Users can choose to share their location for a specific period: one hour, today only, a custom duration, or indefinitely until turned off.
