Rockstarās Arc search is now available for Android in open beta. Everyone who loves the Arc browser’s beautiful design, AI-powered search engine, and rather unusual approach to managing tabs on a computer can have the same on an Android-based smartphone.
Not surprisingly, the Android version of Arc Search is not as fully featured as the desktop version. The most missed feature is Arc Sync which lets you share tabs and other content with the Arc on desktop or iOS. Some tabs, such as Pinch to Summarize and Call to Ask, are missing from the arrangement, and Arcās impressive multifaceted desktop tab-grouping capabilities have still not migrated to the iOS or Android editions of the browser.
However: browsing, tab saving, ad elimination and Browse for Me AI searching are still available. ArcSearch for Android is also fairly compact, even at this release its downloadable program size was only 7MB. And its design language just as youthful as they come, is The Browser Company. It would be impossible to overstate how good Arc Search looks ā the kind of refined, elegant design of which any Apple site would be proud.

Android users also receive an additional Arc Search app icon. I thought no one would care about the icon and bam, several iPhone owners are giving some jealous comments on Threads and Tweets, so Iām happy that the Android users get a good laugh from it.
I should also note that the Arc browser is not available in Linux and does not natively support Windows on ARM. There is an ARM64 version of the Arc browser being worked on, however, Linux does not seem to be on the agenda. Arc is developed using Swift, a programming language for Apple products. It was a massive effort to port it to Windows, so donāt expect a Linux version any time soon.)
Arc Search is compatible with any gadget having Android 13 or a later version installed on it. Please remember that this app is still in the open beta and may be ridden with errors. So far, the Browser Company has not provided the date of Arc Syncās launching in Android.
