Arsenal have agreed a verbal deal with Al Hilal for the transfer of Gabriel Martinelli, with the Brazilian winger set to sign a long-term contract in Saudi Arabia.
The fee is worth over €65 million including add-ons, making it Arsenal’s most lucrative sale in history.
Martinelli has been authorised to travel and will complete his medical in the next 24 hours. The 25-year-old leaves after seven seasons and 278 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 62 goals.

The deal surpasses Arsenal’s previous record sale. The Gunners had been holding out for a fee in the region of €60 million and have now secured a package that exceeds that valuation.

Martinelli joins a growing Saudi revolution at Al Hilal. The club have already secured the signing of England striker Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa. The double raid on the Premier League is part of a planned recruitment strategy under Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.
Al Hilal are pushing to dethrone Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr as Saudi Arabia’s dominant force. The club have also signed Crysencio Summerville earlier in the window.
Martinelli joined Arsenal from Ituano in 2019 for just €7 million. He developed into a key player under Mikel Arteta, playing a role in Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning campaign and their return to Champions League football.
