Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus could be fined by the Football Association (FA) after his goal celebration against Aston Villa.
In the 4–1 victory at the Emirates, Jesus came off the bench to score the Gunners’ fourth before lifting his shirt to reveal a message beneath.
The message “I belong to Jesus” drew attention because FA rules ban political, religious, or personal slogans on matchday clothing.
Arsenal’s win at the Emirates also featured goals from Martin Ødegaard, Brazilian defender Gabriel, and Leandro Trossard in a dominant display.

Rules reminder amid uncertainty
Last year, Cody Gakpo displayed a similar message and was not fined, though the FA reminded him of the regulations.
At this stage, it’s unclear whether Jesus will receive a similar warning or face formal punishment.
The FA has not issued an official comment on the matter as Arsenal now await clarification as the season’s fixtures continue.
