The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has called on corps members and staff of the scheme to demonstrate renewed dedication to national service and unity as the country ushers in the year 2026.
In his New Year message, the NYSC DG commended personnel and corps members for their patriotism, resilience, and commitment in 2025, noting that their efforts contributed to the successes recorded by the scheme during the year.
He urged corps members and staff to take concrete actions in the new year by actively supporting ministries, departments, and agencies, promoting national rebirth, and serving as visible symbols of unity and progress in the face of Nigeria’s current challenges.
Brigadier General Nafiu reaffirmed the commitment of NYSC management to strengthening national unity through improved service delivery and the expansion of corps empowerment initiatives, particularly the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.
