Arteta, Glasner, Guardiola and Le Bris Battle for September’s Premier League Manager of the Month

Arteta, Glasner, Guardiola, and Le Bris nominated for Premier League Manager of the Month after unbeaten runs and standout September performances.

The race for September’s Premier League Manager of the Month award is officially underway, with four tacticians shortlisted after guiding their teams through impressive runs.

Mikel Arteta, Oliver Glasner, Pep Guardiola, and Regis Le Bris are the nominees, and fans now have the chance to vote for the winner before the deadline of Monday, 6 October.

Arteta has earned recognition for steering Arsenal through a difficult set of fixtures without defeat. His side edged past Nottingham Forest, salvaged a dramatic late draw against Manchester City, and produced a stoppage-time comeback at Newcastle United. Those results lifted the Gunners to second in the standings.

Equally deserving is Glasner, whose Crystal Palace remain the only unbeaten team in the league. After beginning the month with a goalless draw against Sunderland, Palace found momentum. They beat West Ham and handed Liverpool their first defeat of the campaign, with Eddie Nketiah’s late heroics sealing a memorable win at Selhurst Park.

Guardiola, meanwhile, showcased both flair and tactical discipline with Manchester City. His side hit a league-high nine goals during September, including a statement 3-0 derby triumph over Manchester United. City also displayed steel in a 1-1 draw at Arsenal before overwhelming Burnley 5-1 to finish the month in style.

Finally, Le Bris has earned plaudits for his remarkable work at Sunderland. In their first season back in the Premier League, the Black Cats ended September in fifth, without suffering a single defeat. They conceded just once all month – while down to ten men against Aston Villa – and also secured a hard-fought away win over Nottingham Forest. By holding Crystal Palace to a goalless draw, Sunderland further proved their resilience under Le Bris.

Supporters’ votes will be combined with those of a panel of experts to determine the eventual winner, who will be revealed next week. With all four managers delivering eye-catching results, the decision promises to be fiercely contested.
