News Round The Clock recalls that Tylaā€™s ā€˜Waterā€™ defeated Asakeā€™s ā€˜Amapianoā€™ and other Nigerian songs to win the maiden Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammys.

He is upbeat that he might get more Grammy nominations and probably win next year.

ā€œIt [Grammy loss] is not a loss for me. I might just get more next year. In my head, I was not even taking it too seriously,ā€ he said.

On his mind space for his sophomore album, ā€˜Work Of Art,ā€™ Asake said: ā€œPeople donā€™t really know me because Iā€™m quiet.

ā€œSo everybody started seeing me as mystery. ā€˜Work of Artā€™ is just for them to know me. You have to understand Iā€™m human, but you canā€™t just deny the heart in me.ā€
