Band for band is a colloquial term used among netizens. It’s a tongue-in-cheek for “matched energy”.

Funke Akindele in 2011 featured on Wizkid’s single, “Pakurumo” off his debut studio album, Superstar. At the time, the video was one of the most popular in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Wizkid has since become a mainstream superstar, becoming a flagbearer for the Afrobeats music genre.
