Tinubu greets Peter Mbah on his 54th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, on the occasion of his birthday.

He commended Mr Mbahโ€™s leadership and development strides in the state.

The governor turned 54 years old on Tuesday, 17, March, 2026.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President acknowledged the progress recorded in Enugu under Mbahโ€™s administration, noting that the governor had made a strong impact within a relatively short period in office.

Mr Tinubu highlighted Mr Mbahโ€™s transition from the private sectorโ€”particularly his background in the oil and gas industryโ€”into public service, describing it as a move that had brought clarity, efficiency and forward-thinking leadership into governance in Enugu.

He pointed to several ongoing projects and policy initiatives, describing them as evidence of a deliberate and results-driven approach anchored on democratic principles and public service.

โ€œDuring my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I saw firsthand what focused and competent leadership can achieve when driven by vision and a genuine commitment to the people,โ€ the President said.

The President also praised the governorโ€™s inclusive leadership style, noting his willingness to work closely with other leaders in the Southeast to advance shared economic and political goals.

He said such collaboration was key to repositioning the region and fostering sustainable development.

Mr Tinubu wished the governor good health and continued strength, expressing confidence in his capacity to sustain the pace of development in Enugu State.
