Chimsom Chuka has won the first Head of House (HoH) challenge in Big Brother Naija Season 11, earning immunity from this week’s eviction after beating the other contestants in the opening task.
The competition took place on Monday night, one day after the reality show premiered with 24 housemates entering Biggie’s house to compete for the record N160 million grand prize.
The new season, hosted by Ebuka Obi Uchendu, is themed Show Yourself and will run for 72 days.
All 24 housemates took part in the first HoH challenge.
The game was split into separate rounds for the male and female contestants, with the fastest participants moving into the final stage.

The overall winner would become Head of House, while the second-place finisher would serve as Deputy Head of House.
At the end of the contest, Chimsom completed the course in two minutes and eight seconds to claim victory.
Abi finished in second place and became the Deputy Head of House.

As the new Head of House, Chimsom secured protection from this week’s eviction. However, this season introduced a fresh format that changed one of the biggest rewards usually attached to the position.
Instead of staying in the exclusive Head of House lounge, Chimsom had no automatic access to the luxury room. The organisers introduced a lucky dip that allowed another housemate to enjoy the space for the week.
The draw selected Tram, giving him access to the HoH lounge. He was also allowed to choose one housemate to stay with him, and he picked Sheba.
With the new rule, Chimsom’s only reward for winning the challenge is safety from eviction, while Tram and Sheba will enjoy the comfort and privacy of the Head of House lounge throughout the week.
Big Brother Naija Season 11 began on Sunday, July 26, with 24 housemates entering the competition.
At the end of the 72-day show, the winner will receive a prize package worth N160 million, including N100 million in cash, an SUV and other sponsored rewards.
It is the biggest prize package in the history of the reality show since it started in 2006.
