Boniface doubles earnings with Leverkusen contract extension

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has secured a significant pay increase after extending his contract with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen until 2029.

According to Sky Sports Germany, the new deal will see Boniface earn twice his previous salary, jumping from €3 million annually to €6 million.

His initial contract was set to expire in 2028 but has now been extended by a year.

He also played a pivotal role in leading the team to the UEFA Europa League final and earned the prestigious Bundesliga Rookie of the Year title.
