Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has set a new record in the German Bundesliga.
The lanky Nigerian forward has been a revelation since teaming up with Leverkusen from Union Saint-Gilloise during the summer.
On Sunday, the 22-year-old netted a brace in Leverkusen’s 4-1 victory against Heidenheim to take his league tally to six in five matches. So far this season, he has 10 goals contributions in all competitions – seven goals and three assists.

On Monday, Bundesliga announced on their official website that since data collection began, no player has ever had as many shots after five matchdays of a Bundesliga season.
