Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has offered support to the families of four children who were killed in a mass shooting at a birthday party in Stockton, California.
The tragedy, which happened on Saturday, November 29, occurred inside a banquet hall filled with around 100 to 150 people celebrating a children’s birthday.
Four young people died, including eight-year-old Maya Lupian and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta, while 11 others were injured.
Authorities said the shooting could have been targeted, and a $25,000 reward has been announced for information that could lead to an arrest.

Burna Boy became aware of the story after it was discussed on The Breakfast Club radio show and was deeply moved by the loss.
He reached out to music executive Wack 100 and Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee to provide help to the grieving families.
The singer was particularly affected by the story of 14-year-old Amari Peterson, a talented student-athlete with a 3.8 GPA whose life and future were suddenly cut short.
Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee praised Burna Boy for stepping in to assist, noting it as an example of global support for families in crisis, even from people who have never met them.
This act of kindness comes as Burna Boy faces challenges in his career, including controversies around a canceled concert in Colorado and other shows being canceled due to low ticket sales.
