Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has spoken about the difficult experiences she went through during her marriage to her former husband, Charles Ekwu.
The actress shared the emotional story while appearing on the The Honest Bunch Podcast, in a video clip that was posted on Instagram.
During the conversation, Anunobi became emotional as she reflected on the challenges she faced throughout the marriage. She also addressed her ex-husband directly, maintaining that her narration of events was truthful.
“Charles Ekwu, if you see this video, just know I am not lying against you,” she said.

According to the actress, she decided to remain in the marriage despite warnings from her parents, believing that the situation would eventually improve.
“I still held onto the marriage believing that it’s alright, we will be fine. He’s the same person that said he would be there with me through thick and thin,” she said tearfully.
Anunobi explained that the relationship later became emotionally and financially draining, alleging that she carried most of the responsibilities in the home.
“He is the same person that my parents said, ‘Eucharia, this guy is not it for you.’ I was the one doing everything. Charles never brought one naira,” Anunobi stated.
