Daniel Regha criticizes Wizkid’s son’s debut EP, says he should “stay in school”

Popular social media critic Daniel Regha has stirred reactions online after commenting on the debut EP of Boluwatife Balogun, the first son of Afrobeats Superstar Wizkid.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Regha advised the young artist to focus on his education instead of pursuing a music career so early.

He further argued that the project lacked originality and failed to meet even the current industry standard, stating that all the tracks were “below today’s standard even for a teen.”

“Another issue is which genre does he belong to — is he an aspiring singer or rapper? The beats are decent enough, however, the vocals are a bit mumblish,” Regha added, criticizing the lyrical themes for being too mature for a child.

The outspoken critic went on to rate the project 1/10, saying the EP “failed before it arrived,” and suggesting that Tife’s team should have provided better songwriting support or kept the project unreleased.

Despite the criticism, “Champion’s Arrival” continues to attract attention across social media, with fans of Wizkid defending Tife’s effort as a commendable start for someone his age.
