Jhon Duran continued his fast start at Al Nassr, scoring another two goals in his second game for the club in a 3-2 win over Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday.
Starting alongside Cristiano Ronaldo again, Duran opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a stunning shot from the edge of the box. Although the score remained 1-0 for most of the game, a dramatic sequence of goals unfolded late in the second half.

Al Ahli responded in the 78th minute when Ivan Toney headed home a cross from Gabri Veiga, leveling the score. However, Al Nassr quickly regained their advantage just two minutes later, as Ayman Yahya found the net with a composed finish.

With time running out, Duran delivered a moment of brilliance in the 88th minute to seal the win for Al Nassr. Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic intercepted a pass and sent Durán racing downfield. Evading two defenders, he calmly slotted the ball past Édouard Mendy.
Late goal not enough for Al Ahli
Despite Al Ahli’s relentless efforts, they could only manage a stoppage-time consolation goal through Sumayhan Al-Nabit. Although they fought until the final whistle, Al Nassr secured all three points.

Earlier in the match, Al Ahli had pressed hard, and Ali Majrashi briefly thought he had equalised. However, VAR ruled out his effort after Mohamed Simakan was sent off for an elbow on Toney.
With their numerical advantage, Al Nassr capitalised on their chances and held firm against Al Ahli’s relentless pressure. Their solidity ensured a vital win as they continued their pursuit of the league title.
Stefano Pioli’s men have now won five straight league matches, keeping their championship hopes alive.
