Man Utd tour 2026: Wrexham, PSG, Atletico, AC Milan
Manchester United announce summer friendlies in Europe

Manchester United have confirmed a six‑match pre‑season tour across Europe. This replaces the club’s traditional summer trip to the United States with a Scandinavian‑focused itinerary. The schedule includes fixtures against Paris Saint‑Germain, Atlético Madrid, AC Milan, and bitter rivals Leeds United.

United will kick off their preparations for the 2026‑27 season with a match against Wrexham in Helsinki on July 18. A trip to Trondheim to face Rosenborg follows on July 24. Before a pair of high‑profile clashes in Sweden: Atlético Madrid in Stockholm on August 1 and PSG in Gothenburg on August 8.

The tour then heads to Dublin for a historic meeting with Leeds United at Croke Park on August 12. It will be the first club football fixture at the 82,000‑seat Gaelic games stadium. Furthermore, it is the first football match at the venue since the Republic of Ireland faced France in a World Cup play‑off in November 2009.

United round off their summer schedule against AC Milan in Wroclaw, Poland, on August 15. The club had considered staging friendlies in Asia but ultimately opted against those plans.

The tour is now closer to home

The tour is a notable change for United, which has regularly toured North America in recent years. The decision to stay closer to home is understood to have been influenced by the 2026 World Cup, which is being hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Many of United’s players are expected to feature at the tournament. Those not involved in the latter stages will rejoin the squad for the European friendlies.

The Premier League season begins on the weekend of August 22‑23. This gives United approximately two weeks after their final friendly to prepare for competitive action.

Tickets for the Croke Park fixture went on pre‑sale on April 2. General sale opens on April 10, with adult tickets priced at €50 and under‑16 tickets at €25.
