Eight-year-old Aura V becomes youngest individually credited Grammy winner

Eight-year-old American singer Aura V has set a new Grammy record as the youngest artist to receive an individual credit for a win.

She achieved the feat alongside her father as part of the duo FYÜTCH & Aura V, whose album Harmony won Best Children’s Music Album at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.

Aura V surpassed the previous record held by Blue Ivy, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who won her first Grammy in 2021 at age nine.

Blue Ivy earned the award for Best Music Video for her contribution to Brown Skin Girl at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, becoming one of the youngest winners in the ceremony’s history.

The song also features her mother Beyoncé, Nigerian singer Wizkid and Guyanese rapper Saint Jhn.

However, Saint Jhn was not credited in the Grammy win because he didn’t appear in the music video.
