Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Wednesday inaugurated a Strategic Pillar Monitoring System (SPMS), known as the Ekiti Dashboard.

This, he said, aimed at enhancing efficiency and transparency in government operations through real-time tracking of programmes and projects.

The commissioning ceremony, held at Lady Jibowu Hall in Ado Ekiti, marked a significant step in the administration’s commitment to accountability, data-driven governance, and public service excellence.

Governor Oyebanji described the dashboard as a ‘cutting-edge ICT tool’ that will enable seamless monitoring of the status, progress, and impact of government initiatives across the state.

He added that the platform, the first of its kind in Nigeria, aligns with his six-pillar development agenda and was designed to ensure value for money, timely project delivery, and effective resource allocation.

“This dashboard is a transformative tool developed to provide real-time insights into all government programmes and projects in Ekiti State. It reflects our unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and delivering results that improve lives,” Oyebanji said.

He emphasised that the innovation would also empower citizens to participate actively in governance by granting them access to up-to-date information on public projects.

“By opening this platform to the public, we are fostering trust and collaboration between government and the people,” he noted.

The governor commended the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD), led by John Ekundayo, for championing the project.

He also noted that the initiative would improve decision-making across ministries, departments, and agencies by using data to guide planning and execution.

However, Ekundayo praised Governor Oyebanji’s leadership and reaffirmed the OTSD’s commitment to leveraging technology for good governance.

He urged stakeholders to utilise the dashboard to drive progress and encouraged the public to engage with the platform by sharing its access link.

“This initiative is a reflection of our administration’s drive towards transparency, efficiency, and result-oriented governance. It is not just a tool, but a movement towards institutionalising accountability,” Ekundayo stated.
