How the Holy Spirit delivered me from anger, depression, and sexual immorality – Tonto Dikeh

Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has shared a heartfelt testimony about her transformation and healing journey through the Holy Spirit, detailing how divine intervention freed her from deep emotional battles, including anger, pain, and sexual immorality.

In an emotional post titled “7 Things the Holy Spirit Healed Me From,” Dikeh reflected on the struggles that once consumed her life and how faith helped her find peace and renewal.

The actress and mother of one opened up about overcoming a rage that previously controlled her life. She confessed that her temper once ruined valuable relationships, opportunities, and her inner peace.

Speaking candidly, Dikeh also recalled living under the weight of depression and emotional pain, admitting that she once contemplated suicide.

“Hurt people truly do hurt people, and I was both the wound and the weapon,” she said.

“God said, ‘Child, get up.’ And I did—weak, trembling, but alive.”

Dikeh explained that although she first accepted Christ after secondary school, she eventually strayed from her faith. However, life’s challenges brought her back to God in what she now describes as the most fulfilling period of her life.

“That return has been the most beautiful and fulfilling journey of my life,” she wrote.
“I am not ashamed to say it loudly: My life belongs to God.”

In one of her most powerful revelations, the actress disclosed that God delivered her from sexual immorality and taught her the strength found in celibacy.

“Celibacy has been one of the most powerful experiences of my life. It is not suppression; it is strength,” she wrote.

She added that she now sees intimacy as something sacred, guided by purity and purpose.

“I trained my heart to be disgusted by intimacy without love, because true love is patient and holy. I am no longer touched without covenant. I am held by purpose.”

The actress also recounted a touching reunion with her sister after 45 years apart, expressing deep gratitude for God’s blessings in her life.

Concluding her message, Dikeh emphasized the importance of protecting her peace and spiritual energy.

“If it does not feed my spirit, it does not deserve my energy,” she said.
“When you have seen darkness and survived it, you stop apologizing for protecting your light.”
