Nollywood actress and running mate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate in the just concluded Rivers state gubernatorial election, Tonto Dikeh has said she will not give up on politics.
Reiterating her commitment via Instagram page, Dikeh appreciated her supporters for their votes.
NRTC had earlier reported that the actress and her principal lost the race to Siminialayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The actress added that the 2023 General Election has been an incredible journey, filled with both triumphs and disappointments.
She further praised her colleague Funke Akindele for standing up for Lagos State, saying it has always been about integrity, not a party.
Tonto Dikeh wrote: “The 2023 General Election has been an incredible journey, filled with both triumphs and disappointments. But as I reflect on the experience, I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it all, especially for being considered the Deputy Governorship candidate under the prestigious platform of AfricaDemocratic Congress (ADC) with his Excellency, Hon. @tonteibraye I do not take this for granted.

“I want to express my deepest appreciation to everyone who supported me throughout this campaign. First to Almighty God for granting me the grace, second to my family, I am indebted for their unwavering love and support, thirdly To the good people of Rivers State, I am humbled by your belief in me, and I promise to continue fighting for you in any way that I can.
“I also want to extend my gratitude to the entire official, members, and volunteers of our great organization, @cymsnigeria. Led by the Director General, Chief Obinna Nwaka, I am grateful for your understanding, support, and presence all through this struggle.
