The Kano State Police Command has assured residents of adequate security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna.
“The command wishes to assure everyone of adequate security measures for peaceful and hitch-free celebrations.
“To guarantee peaceful coexistence during the Easter period, the Commissioner of Police has directed all Head of Departments (HODs), Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Operational Commanders to intensify security efforts,” the statement read.

It added that police personnel would be deployed to strategic locations across the state, with enhanced visibility patrols and stop-and-search operations in line with the command’s Operation Order for the season.
According to Haruna, the command is also working in collaboration with other security agencies to implement a comprehensive strategy aimed at maintaining public safety throughout the festivities.
“These measures underscore the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property,” the statement said.
Residents were also encouraged to stay vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
“The Kano State Police Command remains dedicated to maintaining law and order, protecting lives and property, and fostering a safe environment for all residents,” the statement added.
